Amos 4:1-13
Two of life’s basic appointments – death and then the Judgment.
Hebrews 9:27, “Just as man is destined to die and then the judgment.”God has made these appoints for us and we will all keep them.
You need to be ready to meet God because….
I. You are a sinner, (Amos 4:1-5).
None of us are innocent.
1. Not the women
2. Not the men
3. Not the religious
2. Not the men
3. Not the religious
Richard Foster said, “If worship does not change us, it has not been worship.” Worship must end in holy obedience.
Israel’s problem arose because they did not allow their worship to change them. They presented their sacrifices to God but they never let God be present in their lives.

II. You have been warned, (Amos 4:6-11).
God has warned you over and over again about the consequences of your sin.
III. You will meet God, (Amos 4:12).
You cannot escape the judgment.
Are You Ready?
Remember they were looking forward to the Day of the Lord but they really weren’t ready for it. The only way you can be ready for it is to seek a relationship with God, (Amos 5:4).
