Philippians 4:6-7
When the news first came that Pearl Harbor had been bombed [World Trade Center had been destroyed], what did you feel? I know that many people felt anxiety. The Scripture says, however, not to be anxious.
I. Be Anxious For Nothing
a. Because it usually doesn’t come to pass, (Matthew 6).
Abraham Lincoln in crossing the river at flood stage and the Methodist Circuit Rider.
b. God is in control, (Romans 8:28).
Stuart Atkinson burning his letter by giving his concerns over to God. When we turn our problems over to God, we begin to realize the peace that He has for us.
II. Pray in Everything, (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
a. Give thanks for everything, (James 1:2).
b. Trials will make you more like Christ.
III. Peace will come, (Philippians 4:7).
Turning things over to Him allows His peace to come upon us.
Luke 2:14, “Peace on earth good will to those in whom He is pleased.”
Luke 12:51
Peace is not for everyone, this peace is for believers.
Are you worrying today?
